I can't figure out the incentive things for the vote buttons, so the wallpapers are up in the gallery. There's a fairly standard 1280x1024 which should work on most "square" monitors, and a large 1680x1050 for all those new widescreen ones. If you have an odd screen like ours (1400x1050) or if I forgot to make room for some element on your screen, feel free to email me and request a different version. Just remember as you're downloading, I'd like to be voted for!
I've also completely reversed my position on the current plotline, and Lallie (the new girl on the wallpaper, as she's now called) will appear, about four pages back from what I had been working on. I just didn't know how to organize it until I had the pages after it to look at and ponder. This is why I need my buffer.
I think that's true in general for this comic - it's easier for me to inject humor into it once I have the serious stuff written and laid out. And the funny parts don't take nearly as much time to draw, so I should be catching up on my buffer drawing these three or four pages I'm adding. I still have one serious page to draw, but I can dawdle with that one while I'm drawing the others.
Now if I could just get myself to sit down and work. I have enough scripts ready, but there is no D&D this week to be bored during. I had a burst of inspiration about drawing which coincided with the making of the wallpaper, but my interest is waning again. And now that I know how awesome my work can be, I don't want to just draw something, which is what I did during my last uninspired phase. I guess I'll try just drawing something, and then not ink it until it's good. There might be sketches laying around for a while.
Well, that was what I said earlier, but I started up again while the guys were playing Rock Band and looking at game trailers. I've completed the inks and flat colors on four more comics. I have confidence once more. And lots of buffer, although it has gaps.
One of my pages is very sad, but beautiful, so it makes me happy (but still sad).
So apparently CG doesn't let me put audio on my site. This makes me sad. I have the recording done and everything. Oh well. I'll try to figure out somewhere to put it where I can link to it.
I might still get the print version of Chapter 1 ready by the time it ends, but it doesn't look like it at the moment. I'm focused on other things. Also, I'd like it to go up on Wowio at the same time but their site is down right now for major changes, so I can't get the information I meant to look into.
