Besides backgrounds, I think my biggest artistic weakness is designing and drawing wardrobe for male characters. This is another thing I tweaked in the first few comics – I gave Syb his vest. Without it he looked like an unholy offspring of Kirk and Spock. I don’t like the vest that much, but it does make him look more like the dandy elf he is and less like a runaway Vulcan. I have difficulty coming up with any details for clothing, but I find with my female characters it doesn’t matter. They look interesting even in boring clothes. Kynan here looks okay too. I managed to draw in his attitude.

However, I have gotten much better at drawing Kynan since. And backgrounds. Yay! It helps to have a specific feature around, like this tower, and not just trees.

My lettering pen died yesterday. It was very sad. I have to get a new one. I'll probably tell you more about the tragedy when the comics I've been working on go up.This one made me laugh, like, the first 24 times I looked at it.
