I wrote the most wonderful beautiful script! I'm so happy!

Unfortunately, at the rate the comic is moving I won't be able to draw it for another two or three years. Fortunately, by then I will probably have the skill to draw the expression on Syblai's face. I'm excited about the future! It's full of plot!

The poster came! Its very pretty. I approve. You can all buy it now!

I finished the page I was penciling last time, and the colors on the several comics before that, and to my delight I find that brings me to nearly four months of buffer again. I'm up to January 12! I have the next page inked and my next two scripts done to my satisfaction, with some excellently entertaining character interactions, and some definite ideas about what will come after that.

I was totally wrong on a couple of fronts with that last page I did. Everything but the word bubbles and panel borders was inked with a brush and ink. Even the background, which was a very bad idea since I can't make my brush move in a straight line. Oh well, it was great practice. I think I'm going to stick with a brush from now on. The panel borders I did with my usual pen, and the curved bits I did freehand. This turned out much better than I dared to hope. I'm much better at curves than straight lines.

I decided to put the Chapter 3 cover in a regular update slot. Even though it helps the continuity of the story and is very pretty, I felt a little bad about it. Then as I was changing the filenames for upload, I actually looked at the date. I stopped feeling bad. The cover for Chapter Three will go up on Christmas day. It's like I'm taking a vacation, except not. I hope no one will be so desparate for amusement on Christmas that they'll be disappointed by a lack of actual comic on my site.

Of course the last couple of comics I uploaded in this batch had filenames starting with "2009". I've never had this much of a jump start on writing the new year and getting used to the number. It's kind of odd because I took my phone's calendar and I made a text file of all the mondays and thursdays up through 2009 and into 2010, so that all I have to do is translate the next page number into the next date. But then I have no connection in my mind from the comic to the date, or any significance the date may have except in terms of the comic.

In the next week I will probably reach the 100-page mark (not counting covers). When I draw the next two pages I will have finished a year's worth of updates, as page 102 will appear exactly one year after the first cover's date, which is officially, if not actually, when the comic started. I'll have to have one party when I complete the comics, and another when they actually go up on the site.
