You may have noticed by now, but I am not in the habit of marking important dates in this world by doing anything different in the world of the comic. I don't think about it when I draw the comic for the simple reason that the date is four months away and I'm not always exactly sure what it will be. When I changed the filename on this page from page number to date, and I realized what the date was, I was glad that although it's somewhat funny, it's somewhat solemn too.
Well, back to business. Woah, a lot has happened. I guess I have to expect that when I skip a rant because I'm too busy. I haven't done much in terms of comics; I'm only a little stuck this time, so I'm not worried. I have been working on a new wallpaper, a somewhat cooler one. I got a new laptop and I realized I didn't want to put my LleuGarnock wallpaper on it because it wasn't cool enough. "That's a problem," I thought. "No one will download it if it isn't cool." So I'm making one with Gemini at nighttime, and it's all blue and moonlit and cool.
My new laptop has a color balance issue such that, although the hex value of the elves' skin color clearly has red, green and blue values in descending order, their skin appears purple. The comic as a whole looks all right, but when I'm coloring and the skin color is surrounded by white, it's clearly purple. It's a little disturbing. I haven't had to mix any new colors for the comics I've done so far, but when I do need new colors, I'll use the big computer.
Mostly I was busy with social stuff, since we scheduled a board gaming session for Saturday, then found out our friend Jeff was coming down from Boston for the weekend. Then I had my doctor's appointment, and Tuesday we really needed groceries, but also my sister needed help with the drama that is college and then some. Also a big package of the new Magic cards arrived, and at some point they must be sorted. It was a good time to be stuck. I wouldn't want to be that busy and then always thinking about working on the comic.
And then I forgot to put this up last night and then again this morning! I am busy busy.
