I kinda opted out of backgrounds on this page - there was always too little panel and too much face filling it up. I promise Monday's comic will make up for it, even though it has more panels. (I guess I can't really use the panels as an excuse. I'll call it "mood color" instead. It's a style.)

The store is up! It's got some random junk that I don't really expect people to buy, but it's nice to have one so that if I suddenly get some obsessed fans, they have a way to give me money. Eventually I'll have a store page with links to other places; I'll probably sell the first print copies through Lulu, and possibly have downloads at Wowio. Man, am I a lazy capitalist. That's a lot of people doing my distribution and stuff for me, cutting into my profit. And I'm not forgetting the people at CG who keep the servers running and updating my comic every day.

On the other hand, I am not a lazy artist. Two pages a week, and I do the writing, the pencil, the ink, the lettering and the color. So maybe I'm lazy about the color, but I'm also designing my own website. In America that's like seven people's jobs. Even in Japan it's three people's jobs.

Can you tell I worry about being a drain on society because I don't have a real job? A question for those of you who didn't figure it out when my main characters complained of the same thing. But I really am busy. The problem is I hang out with people who have no time because they go to school and take on big projects and have demanding parents. And yes, you guys, I'm not singling anyone out. There are more than one of you. That's just a type of friends I have. I feel lazy by comparison.

Anyway, back to website business. Things are going well. Some pages have been prettified. I had some fun writing and the buffer is growing again. I'm not sure about my wallpaper, though. I think it's too loud and complex to be a really functional wallpaper, which I hadn't considered before. I'll have to think it over some more.

I'll probably be presenting the comic on the CG forums soon, so here's hoping it helps my rise to fame!
