I'm on the second page of fantasy comic listings on both voting sites, which surprises me. I think I will make a push for votes this month. Vote for me!
I've got the comics done right up to this flashback thing, and now I'm really stuck. I was going to try to get some extra buffer so I could concentrate on a special Christmas project, but I don't think it's going to happen. I'm worried about the presentation of this sequence. It doesn't exactly break the fourth wall, but it doesn't quite fit into the comic's storyline. It's necessary information, but I can't think of a better way to present it. I might be able to . . . eventually. The thing is, it's actually pretty good and entertaining. I just have to make myself draw it even though I know it could be better. And I have a bunch of other Christmas projects I'm already working on, so I figure I've got my hands full.
Yay, christmasy stuff! I just put up our tree and I can't wait to start wrapping presents, but I want to wait until I have more than three. There are four coming in the mail now, some I have to order still and a bunch I have to finish making, plus a couple to go pick up at the store. I think when the next one arrives I'll be too excited not to start wrapping. It's possible I'll finish making my first project first, but unlikely. I have a lot more painting to do.
Anyway, that's how things are going in the world of not-drawing-comics. Stay tuned for our next exciting update, who knows when!
